Snaptrip says

The Talkhouse Cottage is highly praised for its comfort, well-equipped facilities, and thoughtful touches such as welcome gifts. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, luxurious amenities, and the property's suitability for dogs. While some mention minor cleanliness issues and the proximity to a busy road, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, though a few mentioned cobwebs and a small piece of broken glass. These seem to be isolated incidents rather than a common trend.

The location is generally well-regarded for its convenience and proximity to local attractions, although a few guests noted the noise from a nearby road. The scenic surroundings and accessibility to various sites in mid-Wales are appreciated.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as comfortable, cosy, and warm, with a luxurious bathroom and comfortable bed. The enclosed garden for dogs and the overall ambience contribute to a relaxing stay.

The cottage is celebrated for being well-equipped and offering high-quality furnishings. Guests are pleased with the kitchen, bathroom, and the overall maintenance of the property. The mention of a well-stocked kitchen and luxurious towels indicates attention to detail.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, providing welcome packs for both humans and dogs. While these gifts are greatly appreciated and enhance the experience, it is noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

..we were blown away by this amazing, tasteful renovation of a former stables ,, all the fixtures, fittings and decor were done to a great spec , particularly loved the bed , the fire and the tree mural ...the welcome pack was amazing and the owners who live nearby are a lovely couple...it's a fab base to explore this lovely, rural part of Wales and if we could mark the place 6 out 5 we would.. definitely one of the best of the many cottages we have stayed in..

Was very cosy with high quality furnishings which made such a difference. Would highly recommend to anyone looking at staying! The fact the cottage took x2 dogs was a huge bonus.

It was very comfortable with lots of space to move around and oodles of storage options. The kitchen was well laid out with cupboard space to put our food supplies in. The bathroom is spacious and well lit with the most luxurious towels ever. The bedroom was light and airy with 2 wardrobes and a set of drawers for our clothes. We slept very well in the comfortable bed although it was a little too warm for us. The proximity of the road and railway never disturbed us, apart from the one car with a noisy exhaust, even though we are light sleepers. Tim and Jackie are excellent hosts and were very quick to attend to our one issue, a wobbly chair. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise, hubby loves Welsh cakes. Did not make use of the coffee pods as I am dairy intolerant, but the thought was there. Basic supplies like the tea, coffee etc and milk in the fridge all go to show how attentive these hosts are to details. We love the area with its hills, lanes and driving trails, as hubby is limited mobility we rarely walk anywhere but the amazing scenery nearby was amazing.
