The village has views of the Menai Straits and the mountains of Snowdonia, and contains a local store and post office. It is also home to St Caffo’s Church which dates back to 1846 and was named after a 6th century saint who was killed nearby. Just two miles away is the village of Newborough which lies on the edge of forests and dunes, and is home to a population of red squirrels, one of only two colonies on Anglesey. Close by is Llanddwyn Bay, renowned as one of the finest beaches in Britain, ideal for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing and birdwatching or just relaxing! Behind the beach, the 1500 acre sand dune system of Newborough Warren is home to skylarks, meadow pipits and oyster catchers, as well as toads and lizards and is protected as a National Nature Reserve. Just how we like it. We felt the Cosy Barn could benefit from a good clean and some tlc. Much of the information provided is out of date and of little help. The fact that there is no access to Wi-Fi is inconvenient in todays climate.we did feel in the circumstances the rental costs were on the high side. However we did enjoy our holiday .Best Wishes Peter and Jennie Smith

We had a perfect stay. The weather wasn't kind for us whilst there but the barn was comfortable and pleasant to stay in whilst the rain broke. An absolute stunning view of the mountains from the garden. All amenities where catered for. The beds where really comfortable. The showers and bath were very luxurious too. But there is no WiFi. That is totally my fault as I just presumed it would have it. It doesn't advertise that it does have it, it was an over site on my behalf. And being out in the sticks our phone reception wasn't the best. So trying to Google anything was a bit of a nightmare. Although there are plenty of leaflets and information to hand in the barn. We would definitely return to this barn with the hope the weather would be a bit kinder to us next time

Lovely and warm. Slightly dusty. Very well and tastefully equipped. Observations: Range needs attention. One oven door not closing properly, one control broken and one oven control illegible. Didn’t worry us but some clients might want a more modern TV in the small bedroom. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you.
