Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews frequently highlight the cottage's cleanliness, with guests describing it as clean, well-maintained, and warm. No negative comments on cleanliness suggest a high standard is being met.

The location is celebrated for its beautiful views and peacefulness, although one review notes the proximity to a busy road. The scenic setting by Loch Fyne and the quiet atmosphere are major positives.

Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the beds very comfy and the cottage cosy. The presence of games and DVDs adds to the comfortable, homely feel.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped. However, one guest felt there was an excess of cushions and kitchen utensils, and some leftover food items, suggesting room for improvement in maintenance.

Thoughtfulness is evident through mentions of welcome packs and personal touches. While gifts like bubbly are appreciated, it's important to note that such extras are subject to availability and are a gracious gesture rather than a guarantee.

All of this and much more are waiting to be enjoyed during a stay at Cherry Trees Cottage.

The Duke of Argyll founded Inveraray, the traditional county seat of Argyll, in 1745. It is situated next to the magnificently restored Inveraray Castle on Lake Fyne. The village was planned to house employees of the castle estate, a woollen mill, as well as fisherman working in the lucrative herring trade. Many of the properties in existence today have significant architectural value and are protected. The town now has a variety of stores, eateries, and cafes in addition to the castle and many other tourist attractions. The notorious Courthouse and Prison, a lightship turned floating museum. Attend the Highland Games or visit the magnificent National Trust Crarae Gardens. The hills surrounding Inveraray and the Cruachan Power Station, which is housed inside a mountain, offer excellent opportunities for hiking, biking, and fishing. Both Oban and Kilmartin, which has Neolithic stones, are pleasant drives. There are several attractions, all of which are surrounded by breathtaking surroundings.

All the spaces were clean and pleasant. I was able to switch off and enjoy peace and quiet.:)

Provided everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Wonderful garden and views across to Loch Fyne.

It seemed very well equipped - even a picnic basket and, because it's Scotland, umbrellas! I think it would be a fabulous cottage for children: loads of games and dvds are provided and woods to play in at the back. But it is not suitable for dogs. There is nothing to stop a dog getting on to the very busy - and noisy - A83 which runs just below the cottage.
