Unable to open windows in the lounge. We have stayed at many Sykes cottages over the years, and this is the first one that the owners didn't make themselves known, we never saw them all week, just to say hello and welcome even. It was also missing a radio in the kitchen, for background music. The rooms were first class and comfortable and the welcome pack was much appreciated, after a very long drive.

It was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable .Although the weather was pretty cold and windy we did see some sunshine and enjoyed our holiday. We found the owners to be friendly and helpful. The welcome gifts we received were very much appreciated .

The setting, Cottage, facilities, cleanlieness, and views are outstanding. We stayed with our two dogs and thouroughly enjoyed our time. There is top notch food close by with the Kilmarnock Arms Hotel and a lovely walk to Slains Castle very close, as well as the beech. Highly recommended. Thank you from Gerald, June, Lottie & Tycho!
