You have access to the Forge Valley Woods National Nature Reserve, which is of course teeming with a plethora of wildlife and an opportunity to get the family out in the fresh air along the River Derwent. Travel across to the bustling town of Scarborough and take the kids to one of the golden beaches, where you can build sandcastles and stroll along glistening shores. Discover the fabulous sweep of the North Yorkshire and Cleveland Heritage Coast and venture to Whitby and Robin's Bay for a varied day out, then return to this wonderfully appointed getaway with your loved ones.

Scarborough retains many of its original fine buildings, parks and gardens, as well as its castle which overlooks the town. North Bay and South Bay provide two stretches of golden beaches, while the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough Spa and Scarborough Open Air Theatre are also worth a visit. Enjoy coastal walks along the Cleveland Way or a cycle route along the old railway to Whitby.
