Snaptrip says

Guests consistently praise The Pheasantry for its cleanliness, comfort, and idyllic location. The hot tub is frequently mentioned as a highlight, alongside the property's well-maintained and equipped facilities. The hosts are commended for their friendliness and responsiveness. While minor suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests planning to return or recommend the cottage to others.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotless, with only a couple of isolated comments about minor cleanliness issues. These do not detract significantly from the overall perception of a well-maintained property.

The location is frequently described as idyllic, quiet, and convenient for exploring local attractions. Its proximity to the coast and countryside attractions contributes to its high rating.

Guests have reported the beds to be comfortable and the cottage cosy, with a log burner and a relaxing atmosphere. A few guests suggested that the beds might be a bit firm for some preferences.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen. However, suggestions for additional crockery and a freezer, as well as a minor issue with the shower, slightly affect the score.

Guests appreciated the welcome pack and the provision of fresh eggs, which indicate thoughtfulness. However, as not all reviews mention gifts and their provision cannot be guaranteed, the score reflects this.

About this property

Boasting a lovely position on the fringes of the North York Moors National Park, with access to all the seaside delights of Scarborough, is The Pheasantry. This stone-built, attached cottage offers a superb base for you to relax and unwind with your families or friends all the while making the most of the attractions in the area. Head into the open-plan living room via the front patio and relax on the sofa with the glow of the woodburning stove to keep you toasty and warm in winter. Move to the dining area and enjoy a home-cooked meal prepared in the modern-style kitchen, with a pleasant outlook over the front. Spend your down time with a spot of TV, grab a good book for a quiet read or even get out a board game and enjoy late night chats with a bottle of wine. The ground floor is complete with a lovely shower room, while the two double bedrooms rest upstairs. Soak your muscles in your very own hot tub to the rear of the property and indulge after a long walk on the moors. You have access to the Forge Valley Woods National Nature Reserve, which is of course teeming with a plethora of wildlife and an opportunity to get the family out in the fresh air along the River Derwent. Travel across to the bustling town of Scarborough and take the kids to one of the golden beaches, where you can build sandcastles and stroll along glistening shores. Discover the fabulous sweep of the North Yorkshire and Cleveland Heritage Coast and venture to Whitby and Robin's Bay for a varied day out, then return to this wonderfully appointed getaway with your loved ones.

Scarborough retains many of its original fine buildings, parks and gardens, as well as its castle which overlooks the town. North Bay and South Bay provide two stretches of golden beaches, while the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough Spa and Scarborough Open Air Theatre are also worth a visit. Enjoy coastal walks along the Cleveland Way or a cycle route along the old railway to Whitby.

Will be returning in the future. However, A small freezer would have been helpful, especially on the hottest day of the year.
