With a variety of facilities including two local pubs serving food and a general store, you don’t need to venture far.  That said, other Peak District towns and villages are within easy reach including the wonderful honeypot village of Castleton, 15 minutes, Hathersage, famous for its associations with Robin Hood and the Eyre family, 20 minutes and the spa town of Buxton, 30 minutes.  The magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are around 45 minutes away, and Edale train station is approximately a mile from the property and provides direct ac. . .
