Snaptrip says

Ceilwart Cottage in Barmouth boasts stunning views and offers a spacious, comfortable stay with a variety of seating areas. Guests appreciate the property's charm, including the Aga cooker and the peaceful surroundings. While some found the access challenging and cleanliness to be improved, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Several reviews mention issues with cleanliness, including dirty floors, dishes, and cobwebs. Despite these concerns, some guests found the property to be spotlessly clean, indicating inconsistency in the cleaning service.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and serene environment. The steep approach and access through fields are noted, but these aspects are also seen as contributing to the cottage's elevated position and charm.

Guests find the cottage warm and comfortable, with plenty of space and seating areas. However, some mention that the beds, particularly the single beds, could be more comfortable, and the presence of spiders and dated kitchen facilities slightly detract from the comfort level.

The cottage's facilities, such as the Aga cooker and the sun room, are appreciated, but some guests find them challenging to use. The lack of a dryer and updates needed in the kitchen are mentioned. The electric log burner was expected to be real, which could be clearer in the property description.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

We enjoyed the sunset on the first day from the balcony. There is no mobile network for a mile or two around that area (I don't think the owner can do anything about it). However, the cottage has got good Broadband connectivity, so we were able to get in touch with our friends and family through FaceTime or WhatsApp. Thanks a lot to Eileen, the Owner for gives us some teabags ( one of things we forgot to pack) and for letting us charge our electric car. I would recommend this cottage if you are planning on visiting Barmouth.

We really enjoyed how much it felt like home from home after a long day out and about, so relaxing! The only thing we’d say is that we thought the log burner was a real one not electric but perhaps we mis-read this. Would highly recommend!

We found we had everything we needed, plenty of space for our age group 24 to 92. Owner Elaine went to great lengths to help with smart TV issue. I'm sure we will be back.
