Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently mention the cleanliness of the cottage, describing it as 'very clean' and 'spotless', indicating a high level of satisfaction in this area.

The location is frequently highlighted as tranquil, central, and ideal for exploring Anglesey, with beautiful grounds and nearby beaches, suggesting a very positive experience.

The cottage is referred to as cosy, comfortable, and perfect for a dog-friendly holiday. However, a mention of small bedrooms suggests a slight deduction in the comfort score.

While the cottage is generally well-equipped, there are repeated mentions of WiFi issues, which impacts the score for facilities and maintenance.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host, so it is not possible to assess thoughtfulness in this context.

About this property

Owl Cottage is all on one level, with a wood burning stove, in a delightful position in the heart of Anglesey, set within extensive grounds and with a coarse fishing lake

Owl Cottage is one of five self-catering cottages, found in the beautiful and idyllic countryside near Moelfre on Anglesey. This traditional single-storey stone barn has been wonderfully converted, yet still offers a wealth of character.

Found off the North coast of Wales, the Isle of Anglesey is popular for its magnificent coastline, golden sandy beaches and impressive historical features. Nearby Beaumaris has an abundance of attractions which are a ‘must see’ and include the 13th Century castle and Victorian Gaol. For a more peaceful break, take a stroll along the Anglesey Coast Path – nearly all of the Anglesey coastline has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (aonb). If you’re more into an adrenaline rush, then try one of the many watersports held all over Anglesey, including windsurfing, Coasteering and speed boat trips!

Owl cottage was perfect for our first visit to Anglesey. Centrally located on the island it was ideal for exploring but was also tucked away in a little corner of paradise created by the owner Andrew. Perfect for a dog friendly holiday we only had to step out of the cottage and there was an idyllic lake walk on our doorstop. The cottage itself was very cosy with a wood burning stove and well equipped kitchen. We were very fortunate with the weather and so were able to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon tea sitting outside, listening to the birdsong. Andrew was on hand to help with anything that cropped up and to offer invaluable advise as to the best beaches to visit and places to eat. All in all we had a great week at Owl Cottage, were sad to leave and will definitely return.
