Guests that stayed at this property said

The property was generally found to be clean, although there were comments about the main sitting couches being old and dirty. No other major cleanliness issues were reported.

The cottage is appreciated for its tranquil and peaceful area, with easy access to local facilities and natural attractions such as Gortin Lakes and Gortin Glen Forest Park.

The cottage is considered comfortable overall. However, there were some remarks about old and dirty couches, which suggests that the comfort level could be improved with newer furnishings.

Facilities have been a point of contention, with issues such as non-functioning lightbulbs, a fallen barn door, and problems with kitchen appliances. Better maintenance and clearer instructions for use would enhance the experience.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the property owner towards the guests, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Light went out in bathroom first night could not find any replacement bulbs Only 1 roll of toilet paper Took awhile to figure out heating Better instructions would have been helpful Otherwise very convenient clean suited our purposes perfectly

This village is well provided with facilities such as 2 supermarkets, an excellent coffee shop (the Auld Bank) and a quality clothes shop (the Auld Forge). Walks available at Gortin Lakes (shortish walks) and Gortin Glen Forest Park (longer walks). At the cottage, we were disappointed to find that both lightbulbs in the kitchen were out of order and we had to buy replacements the next day. Despite this, we would stay there again.
