Snaptrip says

The Milk Parlour in Suffolk is consistently praised for its cleanliness, peaceful and beautiful location, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches and the helpfulness of the hosts. While one review mentions an unfriendly owner, this is an outlier in a sea of positive feedback. The property is an ideal base for exploring Suffolk and Norfolk, offering comfort and tranquillity.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests frequently commend the property for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting the immaculate condition of the cottage. One isolated comment about a difficult-to-use hob does not significantly detract from the overall high standard of cleanliness.

The location is described as peaceful, with easy access to local attractions and areas of interest. The serene setting with ponds and fields is a highlight, although one review mentions proximity to a road, which slightly impacts the score.

The majority of guests find the property comfortable and well-appointed. However, one guest had issues with a firm bed and another with the lighting and mirror setup for hair drying, which suggests room for improvement in comfort for some guests.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being well-equipped and maintained. The mention of a generous welcome pack and private patio adds to the positive experience. A single review had difficulty with an electric hob, but this does not appear to be a common issue.

While guests mention a generous welcome pack and the helpfulness of the hosts, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of thoughtful gestures such as gifts. Therefore, the score is set to null, and it should be noted that such gestures are not guaranteed.

Outside

Milk Parlour sits next to another self-catering cottage, Red Poll Barn, which can be booked in conjunction to accommodate six guests. There's an additional holiday cottage opposite, Rookyards, which sleeps four more guests, however the living and dining areas aren't big enough for all ten guests to gather comfortably.

It’s surrounded by countryside with an abundance of wildlife including muntjac deer, bats, badgers, squirrels and many birds for you to identify from the comfort of your own private patio which overlooks the moat with garden and woodland beyond – an idyllic spot to sit with a good book or simply watch the wildlife. There’s outdoor furniture and a BBQ for you to use if you enjoy eating al fresco.

The owners are happy for you to wander around almost two acres of their stunning moated gardens and grounds. For the ultimate in relaxation, guests can bring their rods and fish for rudd and perch in the pond.

Please note there is a washing machine available for guests use in the outhouse (this is a communal washing machine, shared with two other properties)

There’s a drive from the main road to the Rookyards Estate with ample parking for two cars and a path leads to the door of your accommodation. The surrounding countryside lends itself to cycling and you can store bikes undercover in one of the cart sheds.

We loved the private patio, watching and listening to the birds in trees. Jacqui, the owner is very kind and helpful, left a generous welcome pack that was very much appreciated. Perfectly situated for easy access to local beauty spots and good amenities, Southwold, Walberswick worth a visit, as is Thorpeness & Aldeburgh etc. Will definitely return here.

We had a lovely time. The Milk parlour was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The only thing I found hard was drying my hair. You need a better light and a bigger mirror. Being tall I couldn’t see into the mirror to dry my hair. But other than that it’s fantastic x
