Reaching Cheltenham, enjoy tours of The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, opt for an afternoon stroll along the stunning boating lake of Pittville Park, or head to the renowned Cheltenham Racecourse, hosting various events and race days. Dotted across the Cotswolds are quaint villages, nature-filled activities, and ideal birdwatching platforms, including Cotswolds Falconry Centre; travel into Gloucester to experience city life, where you can tour Gloucester Cathedral and take in the beauty of Gloucester Docks. Enjoy all of this, and more, at Primrose Cottage.

Midway between Cheltenham and Broadway, the thriving Fairtrade town of Winchcombe, a conservation site, is located above the River Isbourne. Visitors can browse the unique selection of local stores along the town's three main streets, which still have plenty of charm thanks to their honey-coloured stone and timbered exterior or try a tantalising assortment of regional fare in the town's restaurants, wine bars, tea shops, and delis. Farmers' markets, country events, and music and arts festivals are also held in the town. Throughout the summer, guided tours of the town are offered, and Winchcombe is ideally situated for walking of all levels because it is where the Cotswold Way, Gloucestershire Way, Warden's Way, and Windrush Way converge.

Primrose cottage was ideal - centrally located - plenty of great walks for wife and Labrador who came up for the week too. Youngest son and partner joined us at the end of the week. Great food from The Lion and White Hart - also bakery and deli worth a visit for a coffee. Cottage had everything you could ask for - 3 bedrooms, good kitchen and wifi / telly. All in all fantastic - great price and service.

Very noisy in the evenings constant cars with loud music. Winchcombe is a lovely village. Thank you

Some reviews mentioned Velux without blinds but this had been fixed and the bedrooms were great. Agree that the lounge is small and a better sofa would fix the comfort brilliantly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return. Thanks!
