Snaptrip says

Cliff Top Cottage in Porthleven, Cornwall, is highly praised for its stunning sea views, cosy and clean interiors, and excellent location close to local amenities and coastal paths. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as flowers and wine, and the property's upside-down layout maximises the scenic vistas. Despite some minor maintenance issues and temporary disruptions from nearby building work, the cottage remains a beloved choice for a relaxing holiday.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, with only a few isolated reports of cleanliness issues such as pet hair and dirty crockery. The majority of reviews, however, reflect a high standard of cleanliness.

The location is consistently lauded for its proximity to the harbour, local walks, and amenities, as well as for the exceptional sea views. The convenience of having a parking space is also frequently mentioned.

Guests describe the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and a 'home from home', with special mentions of the snug feel and the pleasure of hearing the sound of the waves. Some minor discomforts were noted regarding pillows and dampness.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with positive comments on the property's equipment and the bonus of a garage. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a defective balcony lock, a garage door off its runners, and dampness, which slightly lower the score.

Guests frequently express gratitude for the thoughtful gestures, including welcome gifts like flowers and wine. While these are appreciated, it is important to note that such gifts are offered at the discretion of the host and may not be a consistent feature for all stays.

    Nice property. Excellent views.

The fabulous location of this ‘upside down’ cottage enables guests to savour the full breadth of Mounts Bay from the comfort of the sofa, including occasional sightings of a seal or even dolphin. The nearby Atlantic Inn has a welcoming vibe and a great view of sunsets. Step out of the front door onto the coastal path to Gunwalloe Cove or Praa Sands in the opposite direction. Porthleven is an enjoyable stroll downhill to the picturesque harbour where a multitude of excellent eateries await or the local independent Pengelly’s store for essentials.

The cottage was lovely, exactly as described, with everything you would need included. The views over the sea are fantastic, sadly no big storms while we were there, but the weather was good and meant we could open the French doors and enjoy the sunshine. The walk down to Porthleven was pretty and easily walkable with great cafes and would recommend the Habour Inn to eat out, very dog friendly. One downside, the pillows were uncomfortable, but a very small niggle in comparison to the really good standard of the property. Having a garage was useful although if you own a large 4x4 I doubt it would fit. The patio area outside was great for drying the dog after visiting the beach. Would definitely come back and stay again.
