A contemporary, newly refurbished converted stable block that’s filled with designer furniture and fabrics. The neat touches throughout are as welcoming to a couple as for a family. Original beams and features remain, reminding you of the history of this grand old manor. Downstairs the shaker style kitchen and dining room finished to a very high spec is a perfect place to cook and relax. Upstairs is the living room, two luxury bedrooms and bathroom. All with uninterrupted views across the countryside. You could not be better located for a Cotswolds weekend or holiday retreat. Northleach IS just off the Roman road, the Fosse Way (A429) 8 miles north-east of Cirencester and 10 miles south-west of Stow-on-the-Wold, and about 7 miles from Burford - making it an excellent place to travel from if you're looking to visit these popular and attractive places. Northleach was at one time an important market town, celebrated throughout Europe as a major centre for the Cotswold wool trade! The fifteenth-century church of St Peter and St Paul, paid for by the wealthy wool merchants, was built with stone dug from the quarry in the town itself and what is now the Market Square. More recently the village has been used in a number of recent films, including the Casual Vacancy of 2015.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need and relaxing in the living area with sky tv and comfortable and cosy sofas. The small garden which is secure was great for our dog poppy who used to sit outside and we knew she was safe. The grounds of the cottage are breathtaking , relaxing a complete switch off . The owners are lovely very welcoming and Claire the housekeeper is lovely cannot do enough for us sorting any issues we had immediately with no inconvenience to us . Highly recommend this property we will be back .

The cottage was everything we hoped for and more. The views and location were perfect and so very peaceful with lovely walks on the doorstep for our Labrador Willow. Jane, the owner was lovely and we enjoyed the rhubarb and vegetables from the garden. We would not hesitate to recommend The Compton Cottage and no doubt, will go back again one day.
